SOFTLY SLEEPING

I stopped by my Amish friends home to have her do some sewing for me. As I pulled up in the drive I noticed the little boy softly sleeping in the shade of a big maple tree. He looked so comfortable it made me want to settle down for a long winters nap myself. The slamming of my car door, coming or going never made him miss one wink. As I backed my car out to leave, he still lay on the soft carpet of green grass. I'm sure he had a long day at school, and a full evening with his chores. It was a visit I won't soon forget.

What an adorable picture! Sure wish I could have been under that big tree having a nap.

When the weather holds up nice, taking a nap outside is just a great thing to do. Of course I don't think I would lay on the ground...too many creepy crawlies...lol...but I would get a hammock or one of those lounge chairs and zone out for awhile.

Cute picture!
Thank you for stopping by my blog! It still amazes me that people actually come by and read it...LOL.

Hi Mikki Jo!
I went through your lovely State on the way home from Chicago. I think I know the Amish area because we've bought antiques there in the past.
What a great picture! The Amish were doing some work for us a couple of weeks ago. I wanted to get a picture, at least of their horses and buggy-but alas! that's when I was off to the big city!
I've been thinking of you!
