IT SITS ALONE

This beautiful old cabin sits alone and abandoned and decaying. It's such a shame. Every time we go to visit the Amish we pass this cabin. I noticed this time someone had mowed the lawn. I wish someone would save it, it's so pretty. I know it could be such a beautiful place given some TLC. I would love to go inside it, but we've never stopped other than last weekend so I could snap this photo of it.

I'm adding new items to my etsy shop everyday, stop by and browse if you have the time! You may find some goodies! Thanks for stopping by my blog. I know it's hard to take time to comment each time you stop by but I'd love to hear from ALL of you. And again, thanks for stopping by my blog, I appreciate it more than you know. Blessings and hugs to you all!!!!

That cabin is beautiful and yet tragic. If someone is caring for the property you would think they could extend that courtesy to the house. Great picture. MB

I took a photo of a similar little cabin when we were in GA back in March. I haven't had the film developed yet, but I hope my photo turns out as pretty as the one you posted.

Mikki,
I would love to see the inside! If you do get in, take some pictures if they let you.

There are times when I'd love to leave this crazy world behind, go back in time and live a simple life in a little log cabin. Reminds me of the Little House books which I still love!

What a great old cabin! I love them, too and often stop to look at them. It is sad to think that someday they all will be gone. Most in these mountains as well as in the Ozarks are falling in. If you ever get a chance to read it, there is a book called Ozark Log Cabin Folks by Paul Faris. It is out of print now and hard to find but I think you would love it.
