The Heart of the Cabin
This old antique woodburning cookstove is the heart of the cabin. We put it in late summer. My dear Mom gave it to me. She had planned to cook breakfast for the guys after the first day of deer season but was too sick. She was so upset she didn't get to do that for them. Her last days she wanted to visit my little cabin so bad. But she did get to go and rearrange the furniture before she got too bad and that's the way it has stayed. I love our little primitive one room cabin, it has been a source of renewal and spiritual revival. A wonderful place to gather my thoughts and pray.

MikkiJo,
The Heart of the Cabin moved me...- I again looked at your pictures... and cried. I weep with you... and for you. I am going to pray for you daily... your family and your precious Daddy. What a legacy of LOVE your Momma gave you..~ Heaven just keeps looking sweeter and sweeter doesn't it? If you ever want to talk... email me and I will call you!! I close my eyes and can see your Precious Momma dancing.
"Surrounded by Your glory, what will my heart feel
Will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still
Will I stand in your presence or to my knees will I fall
Will I sing hallelujah, will I be able to speak at all
I can only imagine"
Take care sweet MikkiJo
Big bear hug,

How wonderful that you can look around and enjoy the placement of the furniture that she arranged. I'm sure this is a very renewing place for you. So wonderful you have it.

MikkiJo, I just love your cabin and your stove makes it so much more special. I am glad that your cabin has such special memories of your mother...I would love to have a special cabin like that...even without the special memories. God Bless you Mikki.
Ah memories!! I know you'd rather have the real thing but some people don't even have memories. You will still use your cabin as a place to be refreshed. MB
Hi MikkiJo,
Cool stove, I bet you could to some cooking on that big stove. I can just taste how good a country breakfast would be on that , or a pot of beans simmered all day.
That's so neat, MikkiJo, to have your little stove giving out warmth just as your mom did.
What a wonderful place to go...
may God continue to heal your heart and may you always look to HIM through these days..I know them all to well....
I would pray "Lord, tell my mom I miss her, Lord tell my mom_____fill in the blank"...Then one day I went and God a plain helium ballon,,,and filled it with WORDS for my my and let it go...
and you know, Micki, I know that she probably didn't read it or maybe didn't even know when she is up in heaven, she is at peace, but it just felt good and represented
my words from my heart to her....
I know the pain of missing your mom so bad, you think you won't make it, but you do.
There is no right way to grieve, it is different for everyone...take comfort that the Lord OUR GOD is with you.
