Crazy quilt block

This is my first crazy quilt block. My mom taught me of course, as she teaches me just about everything that I do. The top left corner is a piece from a small bible cover that I carried in my wedding. I embroidered my and hubby's initials on it. Right now I have been knitting and crocheting some dish cloths and embroidering some pillowcases. I'm planning on using the pillowcases in my cabin when we get settled. I'll show some of the pillowcases when I get a little more work done on them. When I was young grandma used to draw pictures on muslin cloth so I could embroider them. I still have one somewhere amongst everything, lol.

Mikki,
Love your quilt square, I've always wanted to make a crazy quilt and never have. I love the fact that you used such a precious memory in it too, the piece from the bible cover from your wedding.

You've done such a great job on the crazy quilt square! I've always wanted to make a crazy quilt. The one time I tried, I kept messing up the pieces of material--guess I'll stick to regualar quilt patterns for awhile! I'm looking so forward to seeing pics of the cabin.

I wish I had time to quilt, I love the crazy pattern and those colors are so rich and pretty, very nice!

It wasn't real hard but hard enough I haven't made a second block. Just time consuming really with the embroidery and all and piecing them together, it all takes so much time compared to other crafting projects.

Mikki Jo,
What a beautiful family!! You are blessed! That quilt block is gorgeous, have you done it all by hand??
I SOOO love the whole cabin experience, just like Nancy Jo, I am excited too!! I live in the village, but I have a lot of "cabin and moose" in my house :)
